New Zealand comedy duo Flight of the Conchords' television show has been overlooked at this year's 61st Prime Time Emmy Awards.
The Wellington pair attended the lavish ceremony in Los Angeles after their self-titled HBO series was nominated for five awards, including a nod for Jemaine Clement as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.
The show, whose second season was recently broadcast on Prime, also received other nominations, including directing, original music and lyrics, sound mixing and writing.
The funny men were catapulted into the spotlight after their show, in which Clement and Bret McKenzie play marginally talented folk singers struggling to make it in New York, became a cult hit after its 2007 debut.
