There are still three sleeps to go until hipster festival Laneway hits Auckland, but there's one famous face who might struggle to catch some shut eye before then.
John Campbell, the host of TV3's current affairs show Campbell Live and self-confessed music geek, says he is "more excited than is reasonable" ahead of this year's Laneway Festival, the third time the Australasian event has been held in Auckland.
Campbell tweeted today: "72 hours 'til Laneway. I may be more excited than is reasonable for a man aged 47. But in short, and to summarise my position - YEEEAAAHHH!"
Around 5000 punters will share Campbell's enthusiasm as bands like The Horrors, Cults, Feist, SBTRKT and Girls perform over three stages at Wynyard Quarter down at Silo Park on Auckland's Waterfront on Monday, Auckland Anniversary Day.
