A Columbia University student made a tongue-in-cheek flyer asking the women on the streets of Manhattan to accompany him as his date to his frat's winter formal.
Apparently the 28-year-old bachelor was tired of the classic dating apps so he decided to take matters into his own hands, reports the daily mail.
Ned, who didn't disclose his last name for professional reasons, created a flyer that he posted around Soho and the West Village, which just so happened to be close to a few modeling agencies - and it turns out he actually landed himself a model.
The flyer that he plastered around Manhattan, and that his friend posted on Instagram, read: "Struggling model? Unemployed sugar baby? Look no further..."
It then said "Columbia bachelor seeking date for formal on the evening of December 12th."
In the flyer he joked that his requirements were; you had to be photogenic, eclectic, not ratchet, not a succubus and that you had to be 21 or own a fake ID.
Describing himself, the bachelor wrote that he's "slightly endowed with a big heart," "strong enough to uninstall your window unit," he's "a 28-year-old college student incapable of adulting" and that he's a "former Army Ranger".
The humorous photo accompanying the flyer featured a picture of a bare-bottomed, muscular mermaid with a photo-shopped picture of his face on top.
The comical caption to the photo on Instagram also read "Complimentary Uber ride home! #gentleman".
It seems his whimsical flyer caught the attention of 25-year-old Anna Besedina, who just so happens to be a model. A friend of hers sent her a photo of Ned's flier.
She told the New York Post: "I just thought it was one of the funniest things I've seen. Who would do something this ridiculous? I had to find out more about him."
Apparently she contacted him on Instagram and the two decided to meet at a local bar near the fraternity before the formal.
It seems Ned was pretty pleased when he met her face to face. "I thought, 'Oh, s***, she's attractive" — [and] sort of out of my league, which is the story of my life," Ned said.
They then headed to Cantina Rooftop in Hell's Kitchen to join the rest of Ned's fraternity brothers.
Their date ended with a hug and of course the complimentary free Uber ride he promised his date.
Besedina remained tight lipped when she was asked whether the pair would have another date, "We'll see!" she said.
