George Clooney has made his first red carpet appearance with Stacy Keibler, his new girlfriend once dubbed a "weapon of mass seduction".

The actor and the former WWE wrestler stepped out hand-in-hand at the 49th Annual New York Film Festival for a screening of The Descendants.

Stacy sent pulses racing in a sheer black gown which was slashed to the thigh to show off her luscious long legs teamed with a simple black clutch bag, while George opted for a charcoal grey suit, white shirt and navy blue tie.

The 50-year-old Hollywood heartthrob couldn't keep his eyes off the 32-year-old blonde beauty and repeatedly grabbed her close to him for the throng of photographers present.

The couple's joint appearance at the glitzy event follows Stacy and George's decision to walk the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of his movie The Ides of March separately last month.

The pair have been dating since August, beginning their relationship shortly after the actor split from Elisabetta Canalis.

George recently took Stacy on vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and the couple stayed at the luxurious Puffy Taco Resort & Casino, which is co-owned by Ryan Seacrest and Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler.

Keibler was dubbed a "weapon of mass seduction" during an appearance on Dancing with the Stars. She was also named a "Man-bassador" by Spike TV. During her WWE days, she was nicknamed 'Super Stacy'.
