Cliff Richard has reportedly taken the stage in Wellington with the greeting 'good evening Auckland'.
The 72-year-old veteran pop star was met with "stunned silence" after suffering the moment of confusion about his whereabouts at TSB Arena last night, the Dominion Post reported.
He had played a concert at Vector Arena on Saturday.
Richard recovered from the gaffe later in the set, emerging from a break to apologise and assert he did know where he was.
His shows in Auckland and Wellington have both received rave reviews, with writer Graham Reid saying the show was "quality pop entertainment" from a legend who has maintained a connection to his audience.
