"We don't want Jane and Emma to do well," Nikki said spitefully.
Backing her up, her bestie Kate said: "It's true."
"We were kind of excited to have a night without Emma at the table. It'll be quite nice to meet everyone else and hear what everyone else has to say," she continued.
Katie was referring to Emma's harmless flirting with Englishman Steve, who was competing on MKR with his best mate, Will.
Greeting Steve with a big hug and a kiss on the cheek, Emma jokingly said her affectionate nature was all a tactic.
"You need to use all the tactics that you can Emma," Jane nudged her.
"I did give Steve and extra long hug actually!" and the girls burst out laughing in their piece to camera.
"Emma's always enthusiastic when it comes to giving hugs to me," Steve told viewers. "I'm not too sure whether she has a crush, but I'm flattered."
As the guests admired the girls floral arrangement and feminine touches, the Mean Girls were quick to compare the setting to a scene from Desperate Housewives.
"Emma's the desperate part," Nikki said with a nasty snark.
"They're going to try and do the whole 'pretty' thing,"Katie replied, to which her gal pal gave a delusional response, "I have to be the prettiest thing at the table."
Will lightened up the mood by joking about his mate's flirtatious behaviour with the hostess: "I feel like I'm intruding on a romantic dinner between Emma and Steve tonight."
"Yeah, I kind of wish you guys weren't here," Emma giggled to the group who responded with a laugh.
"Emma's been flirting with Steve at every instant restaurant that we've been to," Drasko cracked.
Now it was time to serve drinks, and Emma made sure to fill up her crushes empty glass.
"Are you having trouble handling that big boy?," Steve asked Emma as she poured him a glass of Champagne.
"I've handled many big boys," Emma crudely joked back.
Katie jumped on her harmless joke faster than the speed of light, ''I'm happy to sit back and watch her make a fool of herself."
The lack of prep time put the girls on the back foot as they went back into the kitchen to finish their entree.
After getting the cheese crisps wrong time and time again, they plated up their best eggplant arancini with arrabbiata sauce and the crisps.
"It's so frustrating. It's just melted cheese. Why can't we melt cheese?" Jane flapped her arms about.
"I feel sick. I'm so nervous," Emma said almost with a tear in her eye.
"I think the entree looks more like a share plate you'd have at an Italian restaurant. Not a fancy dish," Katie judged.
Alas, the mozzarella had gone hard and cooled, leaving the dish rather dry.
"There were a lot of errors in this dish, but it wasn't a complete write off," celebrity chef and judge Colin Fassnidge critiqued.
"That's sad," Katie announced to the rest of the table with an evil cackle.
Will said he was a little disappointed, while Katie then said it was something she makes with her toasted sandwiches, "by accident".
Meanwhile, Emma's crush commended the girls: "It was a really nice entree that you'd have on a night out with your missus."
"He's only say that because it's his girlfriend," Katie whispered to Nikki, to which she replied, "What a coincidence?"
Next, the girls got stuck into the main, a crispy skin salmon with crispy potato stack and lime vinaigrette.
Colin wasn't impressed saying there were a lot of errors in the dish
"Ladies, you don't make things easy for yourself, making this many salmon portions for everyone. My salmon was moist, and some of my skin was crispy and some of it wasn't and that's because you put the vinaigrette on top. So overall, that was an alright dish."
"My first bite is really, really, really delicious," Will said with a big smile on his face.
Steve gave the girls' salmon two thumbs up, while Katie and Nikki of course didn't.
Fig and honey ice-cream sandwich with almond praline was the final dish for the evening and the self proclaimed 'dessert queen', Jane, was hoping she lived up to her reputation.
"Ice-cream sandwich is a treat I got when I was growing up... it's creamy, the wafers are thin and creamy. It's just something that brings me back to my childhood. Your dish tonight unfortunately didn't do that to me," Colin announced to the entire table, drawing a smirk for Katie and Nikki.
"I feel like I've been punched in the stomach," the Jane said tearfully.
The contestants gave the girls a combined score of 26 from a possible 50.
Colin was the final dinner guest to give his magic numbers and for their entrees he scored just a eight-out-of-20 and mains a slightly better 12.
Dessert was what they were hoping would save them from tumbling to the bottom of the leader board, and luckily for them they coasted through with 10 from 20, giving them 56 points in total.
Safe for another week, Lynn and Tony still face elimination with just 48.
