Christchurch quake forces Disney on Ice to cancel NZ tour

Disney On Ice's Worlds of Fantasy tour of New Zealand has been cancelled due to Christchurch's earthquake, organisers say.

The damage caused by the February 22 quake and aftershocks meant the show's producers, had re-routed its international tour.

Worlds of Fantasy was scheduled to appear in Christchurch from May 27 to May 29 and in Auckland in early June as part of an international tour including Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia.

Ticket holders will get full refunds.

Producers Feld Entertainment said they would make a donation to The Red Cross to help the rebuilding effort in Christchurch.
