Just days after being forced to address the intensely strict rules around their show at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium, Coldplay are now having to excuse the exorbitant drink prices at their Aussie gigs.
Speaking on the opening leg of the band's Australian tour in Brisbane, front man Chris Martin made it clear he was not a fan of costly beer at venues.

"To go through the traffic, the travel, the ticket touts and all the drinks prices ... (we) hope we are giving you your money's worth," he said.
"Don't think any band can merit a $30 bottle of beer or something."
