Former Shortland Street actor Chris Hobbs has bowed out of Television series Dancing with the Stars.
Hobbs and professional dancing partner Kristie Boyd were eliminated last night after finishing bottom in the system of combined judges' scores and public voting. They are the third couple to drop out of the third series of the TV One show.
It was a night of plentiful plaudits from the judges, two of whom dished out perfect 10 scores to different dancers.
Hobbs' sister and fellow actor Rebecca Hobbs, and TV weather presenter Tamati Coffey earned those scores for their tangos and ended tying at the top of the judges' leaderboard with 36 points each.
Barbara Kendall jived her way to 32 points, while Josh Kronfeld scored 27, Geraldine Brophy 24 and Chris Hobbs 21.
