The caption cleared the air on her relationship status with Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving, which had previously been speculated about on Twitter.
Kehlani's post came after her ex-boyfriend PartyNextDoor posted a photo to Instagram of them holding hands in bed, suggesting they were back together.
But Brown couldn't help himself. He tweeted back at the singer on his official account, saying:
"There is no attempting suicide. Stop flexing for the gram. Doing sh*t for sympathy so them comments under your pics don't look bad."
Brown also attacked Kehlani for allegedly cheating on her ex-boyfriend, and called out to women, saying: "Girls be mad at a n*gga for f**king around wit bItches but her DMs got more names then the Declaration of Independence."
But the Oakland singer explained that the problems in her private life were all the result of a misunderstanding.
"Don't believe the blogs you read," she continued. "No one was cheated on and I'm not a bad person ... Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding.. But as of today, I had no single wish to see tomorrow.. But God saved me for a reason, and for that... I must be grateful.. Cuz I'm not in heaven right now for a reason."
Brown's series of tweets have already sparked backlash on the social networking platform, with comments from many followers who had lost respect for him.
Even Perez Hilton told Brown what he thought of his tweets.
Others have also had their say. Some also reminded him of his inexcusable behaviour in the past involving his abuse of Rihanna.
