Chloe Grace Moretz will star in Kiwi director Roseanne Liang's next film, an action-horror named Shadow in the Cloud.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Liang, who directed 2011's My Wedding and Other Secrets, will adapt the feature from a script by Max Landis (Chronicle).
Set in World War II, Moretz will play Captain Maude Gardner, who boards a bomber plane with a bag containing top-secret contents. The crew soon realise something sinister is lurking on board, and Gardner is forced to save the plane from the evil within as well as the oncoming Japanese ambush.
Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, (Midnight Special) and Fred Berger (La La Land) from Automatik and Kelly McCormick (Atomic Blonde) and Tom Hern (the Kiwi producer of The Dark Horse) from Four Knights Film are producing the feature.
