Charlize Theron and David Fincher's long-gestating TV crime drama series is heading to streaming service Netflix.
The pair will executive produce Mindhunter, which will be based on John Douglas and Mark Olshaker's book Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit.
The Gone Girl filmmaker is also expected to direct.
The series has been in the works since 2010 at America's HBO network, with former Dexter executive producer Scott Buck hired to write the script. However, he is no longer attached to the project, with playwright/screenwriter Joe Penhall brought onboard as his replacement, according to Deadline.com.
