The letter, obtained by the website, reads: "That you are using Warner's intellectual property for a commercial purpose - namely, to sell another show - is especially egregious.
"Please immediately cease and desist from using these photographs or any other intellectual property belonging to Warner."
As for the offending snaps, one is said to feature the Ma-Sheen straddling a Harley Davidson in shorts and a leather jacket. Cop an eyeful of Sheen on the chopper here.
'I'm thrilled ...'
Sheen has since responded to the studio's legal correspondence.
He told TMZ: "I'm thrilled. It insulates me from having to redundantly see myself in the idiotic bowling shirt.
"Perhaps if Warner Bros. spent as much time and energy focusing on THEIR show, it wouldn't be such a steaming pile of a**."
Ah, just like old times.
He later explained his comments in a phone interview.
Sheen was fired from his role in Men last year because of his "dangerously self-destructive conduct," and ensuing war of words with the studio and show creator Chuck Lorre.
"After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen's services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately," Warner Bros. said in an statement last March.
The actor shrugged off the news with a dose of his signature snark.
"This is very good news," he said. "They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions, never have to look at whatshisc*** again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension."
Sheen was later replaced by Ashton Kutcher.
The actor recently said that the studio should pull the plug on the show.
"I don't think [Two and a Half Men] should go on past this year," Sheen said at a NATPE press conference in January. "I just think that people are there because there's nowhere else to go. Yet."
He also said the show's quality has declined.
"I don't think that he's [Kutcher] working with the best writing because [Lorre is] doing too many shows. He and [Jon Cryer] and [Angus T. Jones] deserve better material.
"I don't want to harp on them. Let the clueless stay clueless. I was a puppet there for ratings. But whatever, I don't care. I've moved on, and whatever they're doing there is none of my business."
What do you think? Do you agree with Sheen about the show?
