Charlie Puth never intended to sing See You Again himself.
The 24-year-old singer has become a household name thanks to the track, which featured as a tribute to the late actor Paul Walker in movie Furious 7.
But Puth has revealed in a new interview that he originally wrote the song's famous hook for Sam Smith.
He said: "It's interesting: I mean, I didn't even think that I was going to sing it!"
Puth co-wrote the song and Wiz Khalifa, and that was meant to be where his involvement in it ended.
