But the actor enjoyed making the sequel to his 2012 hit movie.
"This is one of those movies that you don't have to mask the good time that you're actually having," he said.
"The first movie is about a guy who basically was just living inside the party until he realises he wants more out of life and he leaves it completely behind.
"And then this one is finding the party again and realising you don't have to walk away from it to be responsible. It's just a lot of fun for me to hang out with these guys again and get to do it all over."

"I'm self-conscious looking at that poster right there," he said, pointing to his topless photo.
"Did you ever have that dream where you get butt naked but nobody else is butt naked? (I'm) insecure taking my clothes off in front of one person, let alone a thousand," he said.
Manganiello said he was happy to be in Sydney.
"I know this city pretty well. I've been here a few times - one of my favourite cities in the world and I'm not kidding about that. I love Sydney," he said.
But he said he was "definitely" missing his fiance, actress Sofia Vergara, who loves the film.
"She's seen the movie a few times and she was surprised by how funny it was. I think that was the thing that shocked her," he said.*
