With the international tours drying up, it's time for local music acts to take over.
Following tour announcements last week by UMO and TimeOut cover stars Shapeshifter, this week sees separate tours by the Phoenix Foundation, the Adults, Fat Freddy's Drop, and Ladi6 (with support from Home Brew offshoot @Peace) scheduled for mid-winter, multi-date runs around the country.
The Phoenix Foundation, now on tour in Europe, kick off a six-date tour at Auckland's Powerstation on July 12 in support of their fifth album, Fandango, released in April.
For full tour dates go to undertheradar.co.nz and for tickets to the Auckland show see ticketmaster.co.nz.
Also back on the road after their stint on the Winery Tour during summer are the Adults, led by Jon Toogood. This time round, original member Shayne Carter, who is busy finishing up a solo album, is replaced by Cairo Knife Fight and AHoriBuzz guitarist Aaron Tokona, with Julia Deans and percussionist Steven Bremner rounding out the line-up.
