What is your favourite book?
That changes a bit with my mood, I guess. My first thought is always The Thorn Birds.
Why?
It was the first "grown up" book I read as a teenager. I was always an avid reader and had run out of books on a family holiday once. My mum lent it to me and I loved it.
My second thought is Ferdinand the Bull. I loved it as a child and have loved reading it to my own children.
How many times have you read it?
I've read The Thorn Birds several times and lost count of Ferdinand The Bull.
What is your favourite movie?
I barely critique what I see because I simply love going to the movies.
Why?
As a kid I loved ET and was really keen to watch it with our kids. Our eldest daughter was about 5 years old at the time and she cried when she watched it. She looked around at us with tears flowing down her face and said "my eyes are leaking". It was amazing watching her experience real emotion that had been created for her and watching her try to understand how the TV had made her sad.
