Internet trolls have been at the forefront of news this week, with stars showing they won't take their nasty comments lying down.
Seven Sharp hosts Toni Street and Mike Hosking were the latest to speak out about the online abuse they receive on a daily basis.
The pair joined a recent spate of celebrities to hit back at their keyboard critics, and were joining the debate in support of TVNZ reporter Brodie Kane, who wrote about the issue.
This week Teuila Blakely and former bachelorettes Dani Robinson and Chrystal Chenery also hit out at trolls.
The pair read out some of the most recent hateful feedback from trolls live on Seven Sharp, last night.
Hosking was targeted for his fashion sense, with one troll calling him a "git" and "arrogant" and another saying he needed to "grow up". Street claimed despite her best efforts to deflect the nastiness, some of the comments really hurt. "I still get the odd one where I think 'oh, that really sucks'," she added. One person told her to "shut her pie hole", another called her outfit "frumpy".
Brodie Kane
The death of a young Palmerston North girl prompted TVNZ reporter Kane to take action.
She penned a blog on the topic and posted her opinion piece on TVNZ's website.
Kane told readers how hearing of Kyana Vergara's death over the weekend, "broke my heart".
She went on to share some of the online comments she received last week following her regular segment on TV One's Breakfast.
"In one day, a number of grown adults had taken the time to go on their computers and write this stuff," she wrote.
"If adults are so freely trolling, how do we teach our kids that it's not OK?"

The former Shortland Street actress posted an expletive-laden video on social media calling out her internet trolls and abusers.
She uploaded the video to Facebook in response to hundreds of derogatory comments about her decision to post an image of old friend and Warriors centre Konrad Hurrell, with whom she was caught up in a sex tape scandal two years ago.
In the clip she singled out "slut shamers" calling the cruel comments she received, "goddamn persecution".
She later posted another, calmer video update and further posts speaking out against haters.
Dani Robinson and Chrystal Chenery
Former stars of the The Bachelor NZ, Dani Robinson and Chrystal Chenery jointly posted a video of themselves naming and shaming people who wrote offensive comments about them on social media.
Robinson responded to flak by saying she was fed up of being, "hated on just for breathing".
