Last week, in an interview for the December issue of Fitness magazine, she revealed: "I was obsessing over food and terrified of it at the same time. Wilmer noticed and called me out on it, which was a relief."
The former Disney star-turned-Heart Attack hitmaker, spent three-months in treatment for bulimia, a self-harming disorder and drug abuse in late 2010.
And she revealed she would have returned to rehab last year if it wasn't for the help of her 34-year-old boyfriend.
The star looked fabulous for her Jingle Ball gig, wearing a black leather singlet, black skinny jeans and high-heeled black booties, where she belted out Avalanche with Nick Jonas among other hits.
Demi and Wilma were first linked back in 2010 but split later than year. The two have dated seriously since 2011, but have remained secretive about their relationship.
That changed on November 17 when the singer declared her love for Wilmer, who previously dated Lindsay Lohan.
The star, who was on tour and obviously lonely, posted a cute Instagram snap of her beau kissing her cheek, with the caption: "I never post personal pictures like this but f***.. He is perfect. I miss my @wilmervalderrama."
And now Demi is hoping to take things to the next level with Wilmer, according to RadarOnline, which reported the Neon Lights singer s hoping he will pop the question soon.
"They are getting beyond serious," a friend of the star told the website. "She says that Wilmer is her soul partner and she could never see herself with anyone else."
The couple live together in Sherman Oaks, California. But it will be a few weeks before Demi can spend any extended time there.
