The US release of Chloe Grace Moretz's Carrie remake has been pushed back seven months amid rumours of production delays.
The new film stars Moretz in the role of the telepathic teenager made famous by Sissy Spacek in the original 1976 adaptation of the Stephen King novel.
Carrie was due to hit cinemas in March this year, but horror fans will now have to wait another seven months to see the film, which has been rescheduled for a Halloween release in October.
No reason was given for the date change, but rumours suggest movie bosses want more time to work on the special effects.
