Rapper Cardi B has apologised for appearing in a comedy sketch titled The Real Housewives of the Civil Rights Movement.
Cardi B played Martin Luther King Jr's late wife Coretta Scott King in the clip, which was a preview of comedian Rip Michaels' new series Off the Rip.
The skit, posted by TMZ on Thursday, imagines Rosa Parks and the spouses of Dr. King, Malcolm X and Jesse Jackson meeting in a mansion to catch up, in a parody of the Real Housewives reality shows.
In the clip, the women gossip about Martin Luther King Jr, with Cardi saying: ""All these hussies wanna sleep with my husband!"
The clip was criticised by King Jr's family members. Martin Luther King III called it "beyond offensive" in a TMZ interview, while Bernice King said it was "repulsive".
