Nicolas Cage's son Weston was "four drinks short of death" when he was hospitalised after a fight.
The 20-year-old musician - Nicolas' son with ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton - insists he is now "incredibly clean" following the altercation with his personal trainer Kevin Villegas, which led to him being taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, where he received eight stitches and underwent a psychological evaluation.
Speaking to gossip website TMZ, Weston told how his blood alcohol level on the day in question was 0.335 per cent.
He said: "That whole incident was pretty hellish. I was about four drinks short of death. [If I'd drunk more my] loyal and beautiful wife and my outstanding father wouldn't have been visiting me in the psych ward, they would have been visiting me for the last time in an open casket funeral. I was drunk off my ass. I had about 40 beers and a bottle of wine."
The fight between Weston and Kevin - who was his high school wrestling coach and personal trainer who had been hired to protect him - broke out at Hollywood eatery The Framer's Kitchen but the musician said Kevin had "always had it out" for him and started the incident by punching him in the groin.
Weston added: "Before that fight, I wish you guys had the intro to it, because he actually punched me in the nuts, like a little girl. Before he did that to me he antagonised me. He asked my wife what breast size she was."
The budding young actor also told he site he'd like to have a real fight with Kevin although that is not likely to happen as the trainer has a restraining order ordering Weston to stay 100 yards away from him.
In addition to staying away from the trainer, Weston must also stay away from his family.
