Entries for the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards have now closed - but it will be a long wait before the winners will be announced.
The main ceremony has been pushed back to November 21 because venue Vector Arena is so busy in the second half of the year.
In recent years the awards have been staged at the beginning of November but with a run of events at Vector at the end of October and into November, including classical music phenomenon Andre Rieu and Cirque Du Soleil, a later date was settled on.
Or perhaps - and this is pure speculation - the organisers moved the date closer to Justin Bieber's shows at Vector on November 23 and 24 to perhaps entice the pop superstar to make a special appearance at the awards. Now wouldn't that be something!
