Pop chameleon and Grammy winner Bruno Mars is heading to New Zealand for his first-ever show here. Mars, who won best male pop vocal performance for Just The Way You Are at this week's Grammy Awards, plays Vector Arena on April 18 as part of his Doo-Wops & Hooligans Tour, named after his debut album, released last year.
That award-winning song went to No 1 in the singles charts here, as did Grenade, and the Hawaiian-born singer also collaborated with B.o.B on his hit Nothin' On You.
Tickets go on sale February 21 at Ticketmaster and Frontier Touring members pre-sales start 2pm today at frontiertouring.co.nz.
Meanwhile, surfer, singer-songwriter, and regular NZ visitor Donavan Frankenreiter returns for three dates in March on The Glow Tour in celebration of the release of his album of the same name. He plays Auckland's Powerstation on March 24, as well as dates in Wellington and Christchurch. Tickets go on sale February 18 at Ticketmaster.co.nz.
And in other gig news, before their show on Monday, Queens of the Stone Age are holding a press conference at 12.30pm and a public signing session at 1pm at Real Groovy in Auckland.
