Actor Pierce Brosnan has taken to writing poetry to cope with his grief following his daughter's death, according to photographer pal Nancy Ellison.
Charlotte Brosnan, 41, lost her battle with ovarian cancer - the same disease that killed her mother Cassandra Harris, the Irish actor's first wife - on June 28.
The former Bond star has been left devastated by her death, and his close friend Ellison reveals the hunk is now using writing as an emotional outlet, insisting he finds it very therapeutic.
"His grief makes him a poet. I forget that about him because he doesn't live in grief. But now and then, grief hits him again, and this rushing poetry comes out of him. This heart bursts open that feels pain but somehow looks for beauty at the same time," she told People magazine.
Ellison also shared an email she recently received from Brosnan, who has vowed to remain strong in the face of tragedy - it reads: "Just to either side sits sorrow and grief. However, my head is unbowed and my spirit is Irish strong. I have faith that from it all will come a beauty."
