KEY POINTS:
Cupid's arrow was on Target last night as a frontman for the hit TV3 consumer show married a former Miss World New Zealand.
Brooke Howard-Smith and Amber Peebles - girl about town and C4 presenter - tied the knot at a night wedding in Karaka.
Howard-Smith told the Herald on Sunday he was "entirely excited" just hours before the ceremony took place at the Peebles' family farm.
"Being nervous is quite good because it makes you try and not stuff up. At the moment it is all just anticipation and excitement - I can't wait," he said.
More than 100 guests were expected at the wedding, which was to take place about 9pm.
They weren't the only celebrity couple tying the knot yesterday. Opunake locals were tight-lipped over the wedding plans of one of Taranaki's favourite sons, former All Black prop Carl Hayman, and former One News television presenter Natalie Crook.
The couple's plans were shrouded in secrecy from the moment of the engagement.
Hayman has moved around the world with rugby but he retains strong ties to Opunake, where he was born in 1979.
He is playing for Newcastle in the English Premiership, on a contract said to be worth $1 million a year.
