' ex husbands are popping corks over her recent engagement announcement.
Jason Alexander
, who was married to Spears for an eyebrow-raising 55 hours, is not happy about the singer's engagement to her beau and former agent,
Jason Trawick
.
In a nutshell, he thinks it's "fake".
"I know everyone wants me to be happy about this, but I am not," Alexander told
. "I think it's fake and I think people are afraid to say it."
A bit rich coming from someone who was hitched to the songbird for a flicker of an eyelid.
Alexander, who is currently training for the World of MMA fighting competition, added: "If you look at all the pictures between [Spears and Trawick] there is no connection," he explained to the magazine. "They look like they are going through the motions.
"It seems like an answer to the court thing."
The court "thing" he's referring to is Spears' court conservatorship. All her legal and financial affairs have been under the control of her father

since 2008.
"Sort of a nice way to sew it all up, she marries her handler," Alexander continued. "That way she always has someone controlling her. It's sort of sad."
Spears and Alexander exchanged vows at The Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas in 2004, but just hours later, the
Femme Fatale
singer moved to legally annul the marriage.
Court docs at the time revealed that Spears moved to nix her nuptials because she "lacked understanding of her actions to the extent that she was incapable of agreeing to marriage".
Alexander's griping contrasts starkly with her second ex-husband
Kevin Federline
's reaction to the engagement news.
"I'm really happy for her - I think he's a great guy," Federline told Australia's
TV Week
magazine.
He added: "She's happy; she's doing really well. I want to say she's in a good place. I haven't spoken to her much since I've been over here, both of us have been busy with her being on tour, but I do know from talking to the kids and talking to the kids' teachers that they're doing really good."
He also spoke about Spears' very public meltdown in 2007.
"It was tough. They were just very, very, very dramatic times. I had to do what I had to do for the safety of our children. But at the same time, it tears my heart to pieces to watch your ex go through that, let alone watch anybody go through that," he said.
"It's horrible. It was a completely dramatic, depressing stage of my life that I'm so glad I'm over and get to leave behind. It was tough."
Spears and Federline have two sons together,

Jayden
, 5.
Trawick proposed to Spears last Friday.
"OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!! Xxo(sic)," Spears boomed on
.
"Yes, we are engaged," Trawick later told
.
