Britney Spears is vacationing with Mel Gibson at his holiday home in Costa Rica.
The singer and her father Jamie headed to Costa Rica on a private plane to stay with Braveheart actor Mel and his wife Robyn.
A source said: They're just going away for a few days to relax."
Britney was seen sunbathing and swimming as well as riding a quad bike on Barrigona beach on the Pacific coast.
Troubled Britney and Mel became friends after the singer was hospitalised in February.
They met up several times but their friendship was only made public in mid-March when they were seen dining together in California.
A source at the time revealed: "Mel and his wife Robin clearly saw a woman in crisis and wanted to extend themselves in any way possible. There are no expectations, there is no agenda.
"It's simply an act of human kindness one neighbour reaching out to the other."
Mel and Britney used to have homes in the same Malibu neighbourhood.
