Britney Spears is set to follow in the footsteps of Kim Kardashian by launching her own smartphone game.
The reality TV star has made an estimated $US20 million ($A25.30 million) from sales of her popular app, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, and Spears has now teamed up with the company behind the software to create her own version.
The Toxic hitmaker has signed a five-year deal with bosses at Glu and her first game is set to debut in 2016, according to the New York Post.
Other stars who have signed up with Glu include fellow pop singer Katy Perry and Kardashian's half-sisters Kylie and Kendall Jenner.
