Britney Spears announces first tour in Australia

Pop singer Britney Spears has announced she will tour Australia for the first time later this year.

Spears will take her current Circus tour to Australia this November, beginning on November 6 in Perth. She'll also play shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, she announced on her official website.

"I've wanted to tour Australia for quite some time and now it's finally happening," she said.

"My Circus tour is the best show I have ever created and I can't wait to perform it for all of my Australian fans."

Australia tour dates:

November 6: Perth

November 11: Melbourne

November 12: Melbourne

November 19: Sydney

November 20: Sydney

November 24: Brisbane
