I've heard of keeping things in the family, but this is ridiculous.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, due out tomorrow, Jamie Lynn goes on the record to state that she is indeed with child.
She also names the baby's father, who she has been dating and living with for some time, as boyfriend Casey Aldridge.
If it wasn't so tragic, it would be hilarious.
The OK! Magazine interview took place with both Jamie Lynn AND her mum, Lynn.
The teenager, who stars in Nickelodeon's Zoey 101 plans to keep the baby.
Nickelodeon issued the following statement: "We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well being."
TMZ has spoken to Casey's mother, Joyce Aldridge, who also confirmed that Jamie Lynn Spears is knocked up.
Joyce said, "We are aware of the recent interview regarding her and being pregnant, and we are in agreement with everything that was said by Jamie Lynn about the situation ... everything is fine."
When asked whether Casey had any comment to make, she said, "At this point, Casey doesn't wish to speak out, but it would be wonderful when the time comes."
When TMZ tried to draw the mother into a discussion about the kids' ages, and any negativity around the pregnancy, she said: "Casey will address all of this when it is time."

Jamie Lynn Spears on her pregnancy:
"It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected. I was in complete and total shock and so was he [the father]."
"As soon as I found out for sure from the doctor, I took two weeks to myself where I didn't tell anybody," she says.
"Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me."
Lynne Spears tells OK!: "I didn't believe it because Jamie Lynn's always been so conscientious. She's never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby."
Lynn Spears on the sensitive and controversial subject of premarital sex:
"I definitely don't think it's something you should do; it's better to wait," she says. "But I can't be judgmental because it's a position I put myself in."
Jamie Lynn reportedly broke the news to her mother before Thanksgiving, the magazine reports.
"She was very upset because it wasn't what she expected at all," Spears says.
"A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive."

The latest: Jazz pixie Amy Winehouse has now been released from jail.
She was arrested today after volunteering herself in at a North London police station, following suspicions she conspired to pervert the course of justice.
Wino has been bailed until March 2008.

Sources now claim that Sam Lufti is in fact gay.
GaySocialites.com is reporting that "high profile gays in L.A. confirm Lutfi's sexual orientation as decidedly queer and says Lutfi was so embarrassed to be gay that he laid low for a long time until recently resurfacing as Britney Spears' right hand man and manager."
Hollywoodscoop.com also claims that Lufti came out of the proverbial closet in 1997 while drinking with some buds at a bar, and then later vanished.
Rumour has it that Lufti isn't public about his sexual orientation, but doesn't deny it either.
