10:00pm: Sources say that Spears' psychiatrist visited the troubled singer this evening.
The shrink was reportedly alarmed at her reckless driving and her behaviour, so he's decided Spears should be hospitalised on another 5150 hold, which means she's a danger to herself and those around her.
Contrary to earlier reports, Spears has NOT tried to kill herself.
TMZ.com reports that there is "extreme tension inside the house" between Sam Lutfi and members of Spears' family.
9:45pm: Sam Lutfi has spoken to a X17online photographer and says that Spears is "fine."
He gave no further details.
Spear's mother Lynne apparently raised the alarm after receiving a phone call from her daughter earlier this evening, but now says that "Britney is fine."
