It's been 14 long years, but finally everybody's favourite singleton Bridget Jones is set to return to our movie screens in the third instalment of the popular series - Bridget Jones's Baby.
The film is not released until later in the year, but Renée Zellweger gave fans a taste of what's to come when she previewed the trailer for the first time on Ellen in the US.
The trailer opens with Bridget walking down the aisle towards an unseen groom (is it Colin Firth's Mark Darcy?).
Bridget's voiceover explains: "So there I was surrounded by my friends and all ready for my happy ever after. At least that's how I pictured it, the reality was much more single."
This time around Firth's Darcy doesn't have to contend with Hugh Grant's caddish Daniel Cleaver (the actor pulled out when he wasn't happy with one of the early scripts).
Instead, Patrick Dempsey's British-accented Jack Qwant is after Bridget's affections.
Zellweger recently revealed that three different endings have been filmed for the movie and none of the cast, including her, know which one will be in the finished film.
'It's kind of brilliant. None of the cast knows who fathered Bridget's baby or who she'll choose as her beau. The plan is to keep us all in the dark, right up to the premiere,' she told Britain's Sunday Express.
The hugely-anticipated third instalment of the Bridget Jones franchise is being directed by Sharon Maguire, the director of the original Bridget Jones's Diary movie which was released in 2001.
