NEW DELHI - Australian cricket star Brett Lee will release a music album in India by the end of this year, the fast bowler said today.
"I have written three or four new tracks and my aim is to release an album over here by this year," Lee said during a news conference in the Indian capital.
Lee had earlier written and sung a romantic duet You're The One For Me in which he performed with the widely popular Bollywood singer Asha Bhosle.
The song, which was partly in Hindi, was about a Westerner trying to woo an Indian beauty and climbed to number three at one time on the music charts of a popular radio station.
"I have been into music for the last eight to ten years. Music for me is a pretty important part of my life," he said.
Lee, who plays in the band Six & Out has also been offered roles in Bollywood films. He said he was looking forward to his dream Bollywood debut provided he receives the right script.
"Definitely my aim is to star in a Bollywood movie but it has to be in a right time but it definitely will happen," he said.
