A decade after the pair met on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith, Brad Pitt and Angelia Jolie-Pitt are back on screen as another troubled married couple, though this time it's far more serious.
The first trailer for By the Sea, written and directed by Jolie, debuted online this morning. Set in the 1970s, the pair play Roland and Vanessa, an American couple on holiday together in a French resort. The two are forced to look at the unresolved issues in their lives after crossing paths with a newlywed couple.
The atmospheric trailer reveals little about the plot, instead focussing on the tension between the couple, which explodes near the end of the trailer.
The film is the third directed by Jolie, following 2011's In the Land of Blood and Honey and last year's Unbroken. Both films received mixed reviews from critics, getting 55 per cent and 51 per cent respectively on RottenTomatoes.
Pitt and Jolie met while filming Mr and Mrs Smith in 2005. They started dating soon after, and quickly turned into a tabloid sensation. 'Brangelina' have six children together and got married in August 2014.
