KEY POINTS:

Brad Pitt

has reportedly given his ex

Jennifer Aniston

a dressing down after she slated

Angelina Jolie

in a recent magazine interview.

Aniston let rip with some home truths about Pitt's current lady,

Jolie

, in an

interview with Vogue

magazine, branding the star

"uncool"

for blabbing about her blossoming relationship with Pitt while he was still married.

In the interview, Aniston spoke about the magazine's 2007 profile with Jolie, in which she talked about getting close to Pitt while on the set of 2005 flick

Mr. & Mrs. Smith

.

Quite the scandal.

"There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening," Aniston said. "I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. That stuff about how she couldn't wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool."

Hell hath no fury...

Despite the fact that Aniston has undeniably been dealt the fuzzy end of the lollipop after her split from Pitt - if ever there was a post-breakup victim, Aniston is it - Brangelina are not amused with the former

star's surprising candor.

Word has it that

Brangelina

, or to be exact, Pitt, reportedly called Aniston and gave her a school girl telling off for raking up the past.

A source close to Angelina tells the

Chicago Sun Times

that Brangelina were

"totally thrown"

by Aniston's remarks and had hoped she had "

...and wouldn't want to

reopen this old wound

."

Aniston's mouthpiece has imparted with the standard "no comment" line over Pitt's alleged call to Aniston, saying "That's personal information...that really is no one's business."

Meanwhile, hot on the heels of the

interview, Aniston has played down the "uncool" comments she made about Jolie - insisting she merely answered the interviewer's questions "as honestly" as she could.

During a revealing TV interview with chat show queen

Oprah Winfrey

, the star opened up about her former relationship.

Aniston refused to bash her ex, and was complimentary about him when quizzed about their 2005 break-up.

"He’s done some amazing things in the last couple of years," she said of her ex. "So I just think he's doing great."

Referring to her failed marriage, she added, "I don't go there. It's a 100 years old."

Blogger's brief

Well my gossiplings, who knew that Aniston would finally break her silence and show her true feelings towards Jolie. It's about bloody time.

Some may bleat on about some

unwritten Hollywood rule

that scorned 'talent' should keep schtum about broken hearts, and instead spin some contrived PR line about embracing the past and moving on. Yeah, right. Stuff that for a game of soldiers! Better out than in, Jen. Don't be burdended by harbouring those toxic thoughts inside...

Good on Aniston for piping up about Jolie. After all, Jolie stuck the knife in first a few weeks ago when she revealed that she did in fact

fall in love with Pitt

while he was still married to Aniston. Now that's uncool.

Fact or fiction? Word has it that the two were spotted on a hot date earlier this week. Minor problem - Statham is already dating
