Peter Millett is an Auckland-based children's book writer who has recently released a new illustrated series Boy Zero Wannabe Hero (Faber).
The book I love most is ... Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. Am I the only child who spent years and years searching for the last, elusive golden ticket? In my opinion, this is the best children's book ever written. Perfect structure, irresistible characters and a funny heartfelt ending. (And it makes you really hungry too.)
The book I'm reading right now is ... Ryan Nelsen's Road to the World Cup. Well, what else do you expect me to be reading right now?
The book that changed me is ... What Colour is Your Parachute? by Richard N Bolles. A silly title, but an essential book on career planning. Everyone should read this book before leaving school, getting engaged, or taking out an impossible to pay back loan.
The book I wish I'd never read is: Zombie Butts From Uranus by Andy Griffiths. I felt ill by the time I reached the second page. My son loved it though.
