U2 star Bono has been involved in a mid-air drama on a flight from Dublin to Germany.
The Irish rocker and four friends were on board the Learjet flight across Europe, en route to a meeting with Gerd Mueller, Germany's economic minister, when the jet's rear door reportedly fell off.
The jet was crossing into Germany when the tailgate became detached, according to the Irish Daily Mail.
"He was extremely lucky, the plane could have gone down. About an hour into the journey they heard a big thud coming from the rear of the plane," a source has told the publication.
Bono and the other passengers were left "startled" but otherwise unharmed.
