KEY POINTS:
Troubled R&B singer Bobby Brown is set on resurrecting his flagging music career by touring again.
Brown, who was married to hit singer Whitney Houston for 14 years, will play two dates in New Zealand in July.
At the height of his fame in the late 80s and 90s, Brown was one of the biggest selling R&B stars on the planet and penned classic hits such as Don't Be Cruel, Every Little Step and My Prerogative.
However, Brown has to date become more famous for his lawbreaking and tempestuous marriage to Houston than his musical output.
Brown will play the Energy Events Centre, Rotorua on Sunday 15, July and the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre, Manakau, Auckland on Wednesday, 18 July.
