Columbia Records has announced Bob Dylan's 35th studio album, Tempest, will be released on September 11.
Tempest will also mark the 50th anniversary of the release of Dylan's self-titled debut album, which was released in 1962. Avid Dylan-ologists may muse over the album sharing the same title as Shakespeare's final play, and if it points to any possible retirement by the venerable singer/songwriter.
The album art and track listing were revealed on the singer's web site.
Tempest follows Dylan's last studio album, Together Through Life, from 2009.
Dylan, 71, was also honoured with the United States' Presidential Medal of Freedom this year, the country's highest civilian honour.
