Initially touted for release in January 2018, the Blade Runner sequel has been brought forward for an earlier release date next year.
Alcon Entertainment has announced that part two of Ridley Scott's classic science-fiction film will now be hitting screens in October 2017, according to Variety.
Harrison Ford, who played Detective Rick Deckard in the original 1982 film, will be joined by new cast members Ryan Gosling and Robin Wright.
The original film, which was based on Philip K. Dick's novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, was set in the year 2019. The sequel will be set several decades later.
Sicario and Enemy director Denis Villeneuve will be directing the yet untitled sequel, with Oscar nominated cinematographer Roger Deakins also joining him on the film.
