We got a feeling the Black Eyed Peas might be heading this way after Fergie dropped some not-so-subtle hints earlier this year and now we can confirm the rap popsters are due in New Zealand this October. Will-i-am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and Fergie will play a one-night-only show at Auckland's Vector Arena on Tuesday, October 13.
The gig will mark the Peas' first visit back to our shores since October 2005, although Fergie returned in 2008 as a solo act to support the Police at Western Springs Stadium.
The band are currently riding high in the charts with two hit singles - I Gotta Feeling and Boom Boom Pow - which have claimed number one and three spots respectively on the singles chart. Pre-sale tickets to the show will go on sale for 24 hours from 2pm on July 17, through Frontier Touring. To register for pre-sale tickets, see www.frontiertouring.com. Public ticket sales will be available from 9am, July 20, through all Ticketmaster outlets.
