Birthday girl Lorde's rapid rise to the top of the music world had her mixing with Hollywood's A-list this week.
The Kiwi pop star, whose single Royals is top of the US music charts for the sixth week in a row, attended the Museum of Modern Art Film Benefit in New York yesterday.
She also performed her smash hit to the star-studded crowd.
She tweeted afterwards: "performed at the moma's film benefit honouring tilda swinton. such an honour, that woman is phenomenal. a true heroine."
Among the celebrities present were actors Ralph Fiennes, Jessica Biel and Drew Barrymore, musician David Bowie and designer Karl Lagerfeld.
