Bindi Irwin pens emotional farewell message to Chandler Powell

Wildlife warrior Bindi Irwin has shared an emotional farewell message to her boyfriend on Instagram.

Chandler Powell is flying back to the US and she wrote a touching post, telling him he means the world to her.

Powell, a professional wakeboarder, met the beloved Aussie in November 2013 during a visit to Australia Zoo. She posted a photo of her resting her head on his shoulder along with the soppy love letter.

"You are flying back to the USA today. Dropping you off at the airport and waving goodbye, it never gets easier," she said.

"Thank you for the most wonderful adventures these last few months. We even got to celebrate your 20th birthday here in Australia together, hiking through the Great Dividing Range.

"I've known you since you were 16 and every day, from the very first day I met you, you've been my sunshine. I will see you again soon.

"Thank you for everything, you always make me smile, no matter how far apart we may be. Have fun while you're away, go find lots of manatees in Florida for me! I miss you so much already. You really do mean the world to me."

It seems like just yesterday I arrived in Australia for your birthday. Each good bye gets more and more difficult. Powell shares Bindi's adventurous spirit and passion for wildlife. He is a global ambassador for Wildlife Warriors, a conservation organisation started by the Irwins.

The pair is not shy about sharing their feelings on social media, with Powell also posting a touching message on Instagram about Bindi.

"It seems like just yesterday I arrived in Australia for your birthday," he wrote. "Each goodbye gets more and more difficult. I always carry the smallest of moments, like these sunset walks through the zoo, with me no matter where I go. Counting down the days until I'm back with you again, creating more incredible, unforgettable memories, Thank you for making me so happy each day."

Just five days ago he posted a photo of him and Bindi driving the car after they visited Glass House Mountains in Queensland.

"Wouldn't trade these days with you for anything in the world," he wrote.
