The line-up for the Auckland leg of the Big Day Out music festival is proving to be popular, with 10,000 earlybird tickets selling out in 45 minutes this morning.
The quickfire pre-sale prompted Big Day Out organisers to announce that another 10,000 tickets would be sold at the cheaper price of $165, effective immediately.
After that, ticket prices will rise to $185. There are no booking fees or hidden costs.
For their money, punters will get a full concert set from Pearl Jam, as well as shows from Blur, Arcade Fire, Snoop Doog aka Lion, Major Lazer and Mudhoney.
The Big Day Out is being held at the new venue of Western Springs Stadium and Park in Auckland on Friday, January 17.
