Beyonce's hair dampens Vogue photoshoot

Music superstar Beyonce has graced the coveted September issue of Vogue magazine and all anyone can talk about is her wet hair.

Beyonce is only the third black woman to feature on the September cover, which is generally considered to be the most important issue of the yearr. Model Naomi Campbell paved the way in 1989, followed by actress Halle Berry in 2010.

Despite Beyonce looking glamorous in a Marc Jacobs dress, the internet was in a tizz over her wet hair look.

Some people love it.

"Beyonce on the cover of Vogue magazine, Love her hair reminds me of the Destiny's Child days," tweeted Love By Debs Blog.

"I love Beyonce hair on the vogue cover. I'm happy it's not blonde. Please Bey keep that hair colour," tweeted BeyonceCIA.

Some people hate it.

"Who at Vogue decided to give Beyonce the wet dog hair look in all her pictures?" tweeted @ashleymiknis.

"Not feeling Beyonce's hair in the Vogue spread. She looks like a soaking Yorkie," tweeted Char'Le Vo.

Someone even thought the hair was a political statement.

In an article for The Atlantic titled 'Beyonce and the Politics of Stringy Hair', Megan Garber seems upset that the singer's hairdo is "fabulously un-fabulous."

"They're making a political statement disguised as an aesthetic one. Here is Beyonce, whose brand is strong enough to withstand being photographed with stringy hair, suggesting that, for the rest of us, the best hairdos might be the ones that don't require all the doing," said Garber.

And some people think the fuss over Beyonce's hair is utterly ridiculous topic.

"All the things you could speak on about Beyonce being in Vogue and you choose the wet hair. K," tweeted TransDeaconess.

"File this under the most unnecessary thing I've read this week," tweeted Black Frances Ha.
