And that's the last we heard from the power couple. Until Star mag's touted confab with Queen B, in which she allegedly described having an "instant connection" with baby Blue, and how new dad Jay-Z's new drill involves doing his share of nappy duty and babysitting.
"He will change diapers, of course he will," the mag quoted the Single Ladies singer as saying.
"He is going to be a very hands-on father. He has already said publicly that providing isn't love.
"Love is being there. Love is doing the little things for your child. Love is taking care of her on a day-to-day basis. He wants all of that, and he is going to be so good at it."
She also supposedly shared: "Nothing can describe the feeling. You have the instant connection once you know your child is growing inside you, but when you hold it for the first time, the words can't be found.
"It's an old cliche that the thing expectant moms look forward to the most is holding their child in their arms for the first time, but it's one of those clichés that is a real truth."
The 30-year-old was also quoted defending the tight security surrounding the birth at Lenox Hill Hospital.
New York health officials investigated complaints that other parents were blocked by Beyonce's security guards from the neonatal unit for hours.
The claims were later dismissed by officials.
Ditto Star mag's post-pregnancy yarn.
According to Access Hollywood, Beyonce's rep insists the interview is "Completely made up".
The rep echoed to E! News, "Beyoncé has not done any interviews. This is fake."
But the mag is standing by the story.
"It is not made up or fictitious at all," the Star UK editor told Access.
"We bought the interview from a reporter in the US who conducted the interview with Beyonce before the birth. The reporter then obtained the 'top-up' info after the birth, which we believe to have been signed off by a girl on her LSM team."
The online article has since been taken down and replaced with a 'Missing Page Tragedy!' message.

Meanwhile, word reaches me that the notoriously private couple has no plans to release (or sell) any official snaps of the new arrival. Which goes a long way to explain this naughty hall of shame.

In a poem, the rapper reportedly wrote: "Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich/I didn't think hard about using the world bitch/I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it/Now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it.
He continued: "No man will degrade her, or call her names. I'm so focused on your future, the degradation has passed. I wish you wealth, health and insight. Forever young you may pass. Blue Ivy Carter, my angel."
So has Jay-Z really decommission the B-word and forced it into early retirement?
Skeptics rejoice, for a source tells E! News that said poem was not scribed by Jay-Z.
The only recent release from Jay-Z is the song Glory, his ode to baby Blue, which made its debut on his social website Life and Times on January 9.
