The show I stopped watching:
I began watching Kingdom Of Us on Netflix when I was in LA recently writing new music. It's a harrowing and deeply complex doco about the disappearance of a father from his young family. I only stopped watching it because I was in and out of studio sessions and didn't have time to finish it but I hope to this summer.
The series I binged the fastest:
Stranger Things II. How talented are The Duffer Brothers!? I think it's even better than the first season, which was obviously amazing.
The best thing I listened to:
Madame Gandhi's EP Voices. It's empowering, smart and stimulating. She also curates a weekly Spotify playlist called The Future Is Female. Definitely check that out!
The best live show I saw:
Stevie Nicks. Best show I've seen in my life. She's a goddess and I felt so privileged experiencing her share her songs and stories.
The biggest letdown of the year was:
I never seem to learn my lesson with crass comedies and this year I went to two, which were major letdowns - Bad Moms 2 and Snatched.
And my personal highlight was:
Performing at the VNZMAs and receiving three nominations!
Theia performs at Bay Dreams in Tauranga on Jan 2.
