Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are returning to the roles of Holmes and Watson for a new Sherlock special - though unlike anything fans of the show have seen before.
It was revealed earlier this year that the BBC show would be returning in a Victorian-era set one-off episode.
The first footage debuted today at the show's Comic-Con panel in San Diego.
The 90 second clip shows Cumberbatch in a deerstalker smoking a pipe, while Freeman sports a moustache as Dr. Watson.
The footage also makes fun of the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original books, with housekeeper Mrs Hudson complaining about being portrayed as a background character in Watson's tales about Holmes' adventures.
"Don't feel singled out, Mrs Hudson; I'm hardly in the dog one," Holmes retorts.
"The dog one? Do you mean the Hound of the Baskervilles?" An offended Watson replies.
All other plot details are under wraps, as is the show's broadcast date, though likely to be at Christmas in Britain.
There are plans for a theatrical release as well.
A fourth season of Sherlock has been commissioned by BBC.
