Former supermodel Rachel Hunter was reportedly unceremoniously cyber dumped by her toyboy lover Jarret Stoll in a group email sent to friends and family calling off their wedding.
The missive, if anything, highlighted the generational age gap. Cougar Rachel (who technically becomes one on her 40th birthday next month) probably would have said sayonara the old fashioned way: a slammed door and a long sulk.
Meanwhile, All Black WAG Hayley Holt, who has relocated to her man Richie McCaw's hometown Canterbury where she is studying part-time, yesterday told the Daily Mirror newspaper in the UK that she was dumped by email too.
Not by the sports star. Phew. But by BBC bosses from the hit British ballroom show Strictly Come Dancing that Holt and her celebrity agent had hoped would make her a huge international star.

In her gush-all to the Mirror, Holt told of her shock of getting elbowed via email. The cyber message explained that her services as a house dancer on the telly show (like that of Brendan Cole) were no longer required.
The 28-year-old Kiwi said: "I'm not too sure why I wasn't asked back. They didn't really give me a reason. My agent had to ring them up to find out what was going on. It leaves me wondering why. It is frustrating."
The leggy blonde who became a household name in the NZ version Dancing with the Stars before cha-cha-cha-ing her way into the All Black captain's heart, would definitely return to Strictly Come Dancing if producers laid out the welcome mat. She said: "If they asked me back I would definitely consider it".
The relationship ended badly, Hayls. Let it go.
Holt partnered Olympian swimmer Mark Foster. "I had a great time. It was a whirlwind. Obviously it's hard work, but I enjoyed it. I'm going to miss it," she said.
But a return to the British set looks unlikely. A BBC spokesman told the Mirror: "We contract dancers for one series at a time and the line-up is always subject to change. We thank Hayley for her fantastic contribution to the show. It is an amicable decision."
If amicable means a one-sided Dear John email.
